We are very grateful to the wonderful families who have opened their homes and their hearts to the children of the Worldwide Children's Foundation of New York.
Host families house a child and one parent. One bedroom is usually sufficient. The parent supervises the child at all times so the host family does not need to be available during the day. The child usually arrives a week before surgery, spends a week in the hospital, and then returns to the host family for one to two weeks. The host family can be as active as they wish with the child and the process. If you are interested in becoming a host family, an experience that will certainly transform your lives, please call Carolyn Spector, Executive Director at 800.293.0370 for further information.
Potential host families must agree to an interview and background check. |
